Linda Raschke Is One Smart Gal

Dear Beanieville readers...

I have not had the pleasure of meeting as many professional traders as Adam Hewison from Ino has. The good thing is that with the free version of INO TV, you can meet four of the world's top traders and have a front row seat to their seminars for free.

As a regular user of our INO TV service, I am a huge fan of professional trader, Linda Raschke. Honestly, I don't know why I put her in a class of her own among the other many amazing seminar authors.

It could be that she has had continued success in the trading arena for over two decades. It it could be that I am drawn to her superior presentation skills. It could also be that she is a great role model for young women pursuing a career in finance and/or business.

Ok, ok... I wont play the gender card. I am completely aware that over 91% of you individual traders are men. However, no matter what gender you may be you can recognize Linda's trading intellect and appreciate the tips and strategies in her seminar that we present in the complimentary version of INO TV.

"Classic Indicators - Back to the Future"

Besides lecturing to thousands of individual traders in over 18 countries, Linda is a principal trader for several hedge funds and is president of LBR Group, Inc. She was profiled in Jack Schwager's book, "The New Market Wizards," and frequently is featured trader in numerous financial publications and on national radio/television
programs. Currently she is the vice president of the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts.

Self-directed traders have spent big bucks to learn from Linda, but we are offering one of her lectures for absolutely no cost.

She is one of my INO TV personal favorite trading experts and I hope you will become fond of her as well.

Watch her seminar, "Classic Indicators - Back to the Future" today at no cost on INO TV.

GRMN finding its way?

GRMN closed @ 47.5

The stock is sitting just right below the 50dayMA of 48.22 . A break above that should send the stock to 55 first stop. I think 70 could even be a real possibility. I still like GRMN as a long term play, and it looks to be a good short term play as well.

With the oils tanking (and i believe it will continue towards 80), technology and financials should lead the market higher. A very good conservative buy is Wells Fargo Bank (WFC).

N for the long term

N closed @ 22.2

These are very good levels to own Netsuite(N). The company is very close to achieving profitbility, probably as soon as early next year, and that's when the stock should really fly.

I'm predicting at least an $80 stock within 2 years or so. The potential for their best of breed software products is huge. N also has a very aggressive management, spawned from Larry Ellison and his Oracle(ORCL). Salesforce's(CRM) Marc Benioff is also from the same pedigree and his company has done exceptionally well. I expect Evan Goldberg and Zachary Nelson to do the same for N.

2007 Returns Poll Results

So here are the results of the poll i asked you to take. I would like to thank all 108 voters for participating.

-----------------------------
14% lost over 51% of portfolio
10% lost from 26-50% " "
27% lost from 1-25%
20% gained 1-25%
11% gained 26-50%
4% gained 51-100%
4% gained 101-200% (wowza!)
6% gained over 200% (wowza!)
------------------------------

I've gone back and looked at many of my daily recommendations for most of last year and i think they were pretty darn good. It is difficult not to make any money, if you in some way protected your profits and not let them turn into big losses.

24% of the respondents indicated they lost over 26%. And 14% said they lost over 50% of their money. This is very bad, especially when solars were rallying most part of the year. Be retrospective and figure out what happened and vow not to repeat the same mistakes this year. Also, consider subscribing to Inotv.

Nearly 1/2 of the people said they made money last year. Hooray! Of special interest to me are those that made over 100%, and especially those who made over 200%. If you followed my recommendations, then you either rode the solar leaders, wickedly faded the morning gaps, or you bought and sold the daily recommendations and protected your profits. Z-stock and others contributed lots of their own recommendations in the comments section of my blog, and on their personal blogs as well. If you made money from their help, kudos!

Those who made over 200%, you won this prize or this prize here. Take your pick! lol.

I wonder if anyone figured out and utilized some aspects of the Beanieville System. :)

'Til next time..

Future is bright for STP

STP closed @ 46.8

The future for STP is looking more brighter with each passing day. This Chinese solar leader is gonna be raking in nearly $2 billion in revenues in 2008. That's hot!

STP's management is aggressive and their team of solar cell researchers/scientists are world-renowned. STP is a proven leader, time and time again. It's my favorite non-American solar company. They are so above the rest.

For nearly 2 months now, STP had struggled to break and hold above the 200dayMA of 50-51. I think once they take that out for good, they're never gonna look back.

If the market takes the solars lower from here, back up 9 trucks in the low 40's! Alternatively, you can wait till it trades above 50-51 before getting in or buying more.

If you are clueless... (PART 1)

Nearly 40% who took the last poll said they "don't know what they're doing". That means you probably chase after any stock that moves. In a bullish market, you'll be ok, but when the market corrects, you become minced meat for all the sharks out there - both the big institutions and your fellow traders. All the time you spent in the market becomes totally wasted, and you end up with nothing to show but despair. Please educate yourself, constantly, in some way. To be honest with you, you're not gonna get or understand everything reading my blog. Everything i write makes sense to me and looks easy to me is because i got the background and long-term experience in trading the stock market. You get some guidance and some suggestions from this blog, from a real-live trader, giving you honest opinions on how i approach the market nearly everyday.

Many stuff i talk about you're not likely gonna find it at many other sites (which are just repetitions of the same stuff that gets passed on from ages but doesn't really make the authors any serious money). Virtually every site gives the same charts and similar assessments; yet you know better, that only 20% or less of all traders actually make money. Even so, if you're one of those who have no clue what you're doing, it's a good chance you're the other 80%, with virtually no chance of being the other 20% anytime soon. If you're a long term investor (10% of us, based on the poll results) and you pick the right stocks, then you're very lucky and you should enjoy the ride and not need to worry about trading in and out of the markets.

If you're clueless and you're trading stocks, you need to at least learn something so you know what other traders are talking about and what they're thinking. (Have you read a stock market book lately?) After learning to speak the same language as other traders, you then need to learn and do things that the majority of traders haven't thought of, in order to defeat them. Trading is the toughest game in town. It really is. Many very educated thinkers have been defeated by this great, yet very highly demanding and elusive, game. The good news is, you don't have to be an Einstein in order to succeed in trading.

(continue to Part 2................coming soon...)

Please take the new poll on the left margin!

Thanks to everyone who took the poll regarding what type of trader you are. For the most part i did expect the results to be like that, with the exception of the number of gap faders (20%). This makes me really happy... as long as you gap faders continue doing what youre doing and continue to improve on your fading skills, you are on your way to RULE THE DAYTRADING WORLD.

10% are investors. That's cool. Can't argue against warren buffet, net worth $60 billlion.

50% are momo guys who buy anything that moves. This is where most people start out (and penny stocks). I recommend you do less and less of these. Remember that only 20% or less of the people do well in the market....50% is overcrowded. This is not a long term strategy. I was there, and at one point i was labeled something like the "King of Momo" (and with a negative slant, "Mr. Pumper"..lol)

2% trade penny stocks. I would expect a low number like this if you're visiting this site. Most of my picks here are above $50. If you like penny stocks, shorting is the best approach. Go with Timothy Sykes. Don't get conned by pennystock newletters saying that Microsoft started out as a penny stock.

About 20% are into options. I believe that options buying is very stacked against the buyers because of slippage and the brutal time decay. Options are generally good if you catch the top or bottom of a market or stock. It should not be an everyday strategy, imo. Options trading has been the thing that consistently blew up my accounts in the past. Granted, i don't know my options theories as much as many diehard options traders, but i do know the odds here, and it really is stacked against most buyers.

Ok, won't you mind taking another poll. I want to know where everyone is. Thank you.

Power-up with ENER!

ENER closed @ 56.9

I don't know how many times i've profiled this stock already, but i'm liking it so much more these days i'm gonna profile it again here.

The stock is only about 2 dollars below lifetime highs. From yesterday's close, the path of least resistance was down today, but nevertheless, it closed in the green. I think the interest for this stock is so much greater these days that there's only one way for the stock to go - and that is up up and away!

This stock is, in my opinion, the closest thing to being the next FSLR. Cramer seems bullish on this stock on several occasions, including tonite. Every fiber of my being is telling me that ENER is bound to head towards the sun.

If you missed FSLR at $50 last year, this may be your second chance for an encore performance.

Speculative earnings play: CSUN

I'm buying some of the june 17.50 calls.

This is a gamble but since just about every solar has beat expectations and gapped higher the next day, CSUN could do the same. Trading volume has increased quite dramatically the last few days.

Even if we get this wrong, we still got 4 more weeks before expiration to recoup some of the losses. If we get it right, ding ding ding....BIG JACKPOT, Las Vegas-style.

Good luck. Buy only the amount you can handle and assume you gonna lose.

*Momo traders like these kinds of speculative plays. I don't, and that's why you rarely get any from me. Think of this as the only Vegas trip we gonna get this year.

Get windy with WGOV and TRN!

WGOV closed @ 40.6
TRN closed @ 37.9

A Tsunami Bull Market in Alternative Energy is Coming!

Jim Cramer has seen the light and that is why he's been pushing coal, natural gas, solars like FSLR, and now he is pushing wind energy. Don't doubt the alternative energy bull market anymore. It's happening, with or without you! Some of you never got on the Solar Express even though i've been pushing the solar theme for over a year now.

I don't even think we're 1/4 of the way through this mega bull market. It is nowhere near done. So i highly recommend from this point on that you buy whatever alternative energy stocks that Cramer recommends. When he gets on the right bull market, he is a master of the game, second to none.

His latest two wind power recommendations are WGOV and TRN. While short term overbought, they should be an easy double from here. Don't worry, Cramer will watch your back. He'll keep on pushing these stocks publicly, for months and months.

How To Finally Spot Those Winning Trades

(A note from our sponsor Adam Hewison)

I am often asked how I find winning trades in the market. I can easily answer that question in one word: MarketClub. Just like the thousands of other MarketClub members, I use our "Trade Triangle" technology every day to spot stocks, futures, precious metals and foreign exchange markets that are ready to move.

In this new video, I'm going to show you exactly how to find potential winning trades using our "Trade Triangle" technology.

This short video will get to the point quickly. That's what I most like about MarketClub, it's fast, and our "Trade Triangle" technology is definitely a winner with investors. The website shows me quickly and easily what markets are ready to move with only a few clicks of a mouse.

Take the time, watch the video.

Also here's a very special personal message from me that's 32 seconds long...but really shows how I feel about my viewers.

Enjoy,

CSIQ much more upside.

CSIQ closed @ 40.7

The earnings was impressive, and they're very close to hitting $1 billion in revenues in the next 4 quarters. At only 1.1 billion market cap, all i can think about is how cheap this stock is. I'm giving an intermediate term price target of $100.

I personally will not be owning this stock for the longer term. As you know, i only like domestic stocks like FSLR, SPWR, and ENER. The only exception is STP. I will only be swingtrading CSIQ. I'll be out below $40, and reenter above $40.

ENER is baby First Solar!

ENER closed @ 51.6

The stock had a great run last Thursday due to impressive earnings and growth. I could have talked about the stock after earnings but chose to wait to see if it's a one-day wonder. ENER has a history of disappointing investors because the stock never holds their gains, especially near the 40-50 area.

New management that is more focused on profits than on research is turning this company around, and it is starting to excite me. The obvious right place to be at this time is solars, and they've done just that with pushing their thin film technology. With so few public American solar companies out there, i believe we will see investors gobbling up ENER shares crazily in the next few months. There are only 38 million shares in the float and Legg Mason is the top institutional owner.

I am giving an intermediate price target of $100. As long as $50 holds, i think we gonna see at least $100 by year end. You know Cramer kinda likes this company as he had recommended it several times, although i think it was a mistake for him to get people out at $47. Don't worry, Cramer will be back when ENER is ready to push pass $100. Count on it!

GOOG to $1200-1500!

GOOG closed @ 573

I just found out yesterday that Google now offers not just their traditional search and contents adwords advertising but has recently rolled out television, radio and newspaper advertising. For instance, if you want to advertise in several newspapers throughout the country, you can now do so via the Google adwords interface. You can do all these forms of adverting all in one Google account. You select the features, do your ads, bid your price and indicate how much you're willing to spend, and then the ads are ready to go.

Google will become the undisputed leader of Advertising. There is no doubt in my mind that eventually every business will do advertising through Google. There is no better high tech company out there than this 1600-pound gorilla. If you want to invest in high-tech, GOOG is for you, your children, your grandchildren.

PCLN closed @ 123.7 (gapping up to 141.5 for 14.3% gain afterhours on great earnings)

My take is that it will probably gain at least 25% tomorrow. That means you can buy early premarket for at least a 10 point gain. Second possible entry is to wait for the opening dip (where some daytraders will be fading the stock). Third entry is to wait out the first 30 minutes and watch it establish a new high before entry. I would personally try to wake up early premarket and try to get in, especially with the index futures down.

Crude oil hitting historic highs!!!

Are you an emotional wreckage when it comes to the markets? Let's take oil, for instance. Are you trading it? Are you getting hit and losing money no matter what you do, because you're too emotional?

With crude oil hitting historic highs today, I thought it would be a good idea to do a short video updating you on our "Trade Triangle" technology and the signals we have generated in the June crude oil contract.

This five-minute video will give you an insight into how you can approach the crude oil market using MarketClub's "Trade Triangle" technology. This approach takes a great deal of the emotion out of trading which is crucial for any successful trader.

I hope you enjoy the video and learn how to employ our technology into your own trading.

NYX impressed with nearly 240% growth in earnings. The charts are startin to look really good, with major resistance just above near the 75.5 area. It shouldn't be hard to blow through that level on the heels of this very good earnings report. I think investors are coming back to love this stock.

The stock ran on surprising strength and closed nearly 7 points higher on Monday. I don't think it could go higher today as it is sitting near resistance. But nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to bull or bear extremes.

I want to see a decent gap up or rally higher early morning to enter my short position. Light or slightly negative premarket action can also be shorted as well because it's supposed to display strength if it's meant to go higher, especially following yesterday's very strong close.

I'll know whether i'm right about shorting the stock by how long it stays in the red today.

Visa's price target was raised to 100 today. Tell ya what.. if V gets to 100, MA is going to $400-500. These two companies aren't that much different. In terms of earnings, MA has a better profit margin. MA has recent quarter earnings of nearly 400 million on revenues of 1 billion, while V has same earnings on revenues of 1.5 billion. MA trades at 38 billion market cap vs. Visa's 66 billion market cap.
